My Beautiful Reward:
Bruce Springsteen
Devils & Dust Tour • Spring / Summer '05

Even without the muscle of the mighty E Street Band behind him, Bruce Springsteen
proved it all night (yet again) his musical genius, poetic artistry, and theatrical vision.

Always the consummate entertainer, his passion never waned during the two-hour
performance which was often dark, brooding, and haunting--and even hellish
during a frightening, powerful read of "Reason to Believe."

At times hypnotic, at times jarring, this dramatic and beautiful concert
challenged your thoughts, feelings, and beliefs about life and beyond.

Exploring the breadth and depth of human emotion with tales of love, loss, longing, lust,
fear, hopelessness, friendship, loyalty, duty, redemption, and salvation through songs
spanning a most prolific career (some re-arranged, re-invented, or rejuvenated),
Springsteen's Devils & Dust Tour is the must-see event for any serious fan
of rock, folk, blues, gospel, and western music.

I'm not ashamed to admit that at various moments throughout this show
I felt melancholy, got chills up my spine, smiled, laughed...
and was even moved to tears three times.

Absolutely stunning. One for the ages.
